Job Overview:
- The Marketing/Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and selling construction chemical products and creating marketing solutions to various projects with existing and potential clients.
This role requires a strong technical background in construction chemicals combined with sales and marketing expertise.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction chemicals industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the construction chemicals sector. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and establish new connections. Understand client needs, provide technical advice, and present tailored solutions.
- Utilize deep knowledge of construction chemical products, applications, and industry trends to educate clients and effectively position our solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. Analyze data to inform marketing and sales strategies.
- Provide technical support and expertise to clients throughout the sales process, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns, product literature, and digital marketing strategies specific to the construction chemicals industry.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product offerings and services. Address any post-sale issues or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Track and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends. Provide regular updates to management on sales activities and outcomes.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Build and leverage professional networks to enhance business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, Civil, Ceramic) or a related field. Additional qualifications in marketing or business administration are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or marketing within the construction chemical or a related field. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of construction chemical materials, their applications, and industry standards. Ability to translate technical information into compelling sales pitches.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and closing deals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and negotiate with clients.
- Proficiency in English language and preferably Hindi also.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer service.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
