We are looking for a driven Team Leader to join our production team and play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Job Description:
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the production team, ensuring that buyer specifications are met, and that product developments are completed on time. You will also play a key role in resolving issues, maintaining quality standards, and reporting on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure buyer specifications are clearly understood and communicated to the Product Development (PD), sampling, and manufacturing teams.
- Prioritize all developments based on the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) with customers/brands.
- Monitor ongoing developments and escalate any issues causing delays.
- Maintain delivery timelines as committed to buyers and ensure proactive communication with customers.
- Motivate, evaluate, and assess team performance, focusing on qualitative aspects of their work.
- Manage order fulfillment based on agreed lead times, and ensure timely updates are provided to customers regarding deliveries.
- Prepare and submit reports on delivery performance, quality complaints, and any other challenges.
- Conduct daily reviews of open orders with the team, ensuring timely closure of on-hold orders and maintaining accurate order status in reports.
- Monitor and resolve customer complaints in line with the Quality Management System (QMS) and quality procedures, escalating issues based on severity when necessary.
- Hold weekly review meetings with team members and the reporting manager to resolve internal issues and non-urgent customer service concerns.
- Provide training to the team on buyer expectations and ensure continuous improvement in performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all developments are delivered according to specifications and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Textile Designing, Textile Technology, Clothing Technology, Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Fashion Technology, or any other related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in garment manufacturing, home furnishing, or trim and packaging industries.
- Strong knowledge of development, costing & pricing, coordination, and team handling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise with brands and customers.
- Proficient in Excel and experience with MIS reporting.
