Manager - Social Media (1-2 yrs)
Position Overview:
The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's social media strategy across various platforms. This role involves creating engaging content, building and nurturing online communities, analyzing performance metrics, and staying up-to-date with industry trends to maximize the organization's online presence and achieve its marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the organization's marketing objectives.
- Identify target audiences and tailor content to resonate with different demographics.
Content Creation:
- Create, curate, and manage high-quality, visually appealing content for different social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and infographics.
- Ensure content is engaging, relevant, and consistent with the brand's voice and messaging.
Community Management:
- Foster a positive and interactive online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and engaging manner.
- Encourage user-generated content and facilitate discussions around the brand or relevant topics.
Posting and Scheduling:
- Plan and schedule social media posts using social media management tools to ensure consistent and optimal posting times.
- Monitor trends and news to opportunistically create timely content.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track key performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, conversions) for each social media platform.
- Analyze data to refine the social media strategy and identify areas for improvement.
Platform Management:
- Stay updated with the latest features, algorithms, and trends on various social media platforms.
- Experiment with new features and techniques to optimize content visibility and engagement.
Influencer and Partnership Management:
- Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers, partners, or brand advocates to expand reach and engagement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns.
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, their nuances, and best practices.
- Proficiency in social media management tools
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions to optimize strategy.
- Familiarity with graphic design and basic photo/video editing tools is a plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
