Manager/Senior Manager - Sales - Contract Logistics (6-8 yrs)
Corporate Unit/ Region: Corporate (Business Development)
1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The position has direct responsibility of generating new business for Contract Logistics / SCM product.
Responsible for engaging customers in assigned verticals ( Electronics & Industrial) with a country level geographic coverage.The position requires direct interaction with Customers and internal stake holders within department and other departments like KAM/Sales
2. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Identify target accounts by market intelligence and generate inquiries by actively approaching the target customers to increase CL/SCM brand awareness.
2. Work closely with stake holders at Regional & Global teams to gain business for India on accounts targeted at Global / regional level.
3. Analyze the CL/SCM inquiries and develop logistics concepts through mutual Internal/external discussions and logistics engineering to reply adequately to the customers.
SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Exceptional relationship management & communication skills
- Good knowledge of verticals & customers requirements in the verticals
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple locations
- Leadership and people management abilities & effective communication
- Sound knowledge of Warehouse operations
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Preferably 6 - 8 years experience in the logistics industry or in a Business development environment preferably managing a Electronics & Industrial vertical at a PAN India level
- Knowledge and understanding of Logistics 3PL & National distribution operations.
- The position requires travel across geography
- Engineering graduate preferably from the 3PL industry
