Manager/Senior Manager - Sales & Business Development - Logistics Firm (8-12 yrs)
Designation : Manager, Sr. Manager Sales
Job Location : Ahmedabad, Pune, Baroda, Surat
Age : does not matter
Years of Experience : 8 to 10 years
CTC bracket : not a bar for the right candidate
Duties & responsibilities (non- exhaustive) :
- Work independently to gain freight forwarding business from the assigned territory - ocean freight of most importance
- Should have a few accounts that can be onboarded quickly
- Generating new clients, cold calling to customers - maintaining a healthy pipeline of customers
- Visit customers and give them information regarding services and demonstration of platform
- Understanding the need of the customers and handling their queries - coordinating with operation department & pricing department
- Relationship development with lines at a local level for rate and inventory support - in conjunction with HO procurement team
- Target of 200 containers per month from month four - first couple of months should show momentum
- Report submission on a weekly basis to HO
- Identifying the right partners for integrated services from the assigned territory
- Identifying talent for future expansion
- Ability to assist in setting up of office
- Identifying opportunities for trade lane development/product development/service features/etc
Skills desired :
- Have an overall business acumen
- Sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Ability to lead and manage team
- Good communications and excellent presentation skills
- P&L management
- Knowledge of the logistics industry in general
