Position Objective:

Part of the product management team of a product line of the company. To identify profitable opportunities that meet market needs, launch products in the market, oversee products already in the market and wind down products that no longer meet market needs.

Reports to AVP/GM Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

1) Understands the Market

- Communicates with customers potential customers

- Co-ordinates usability tests

- Leads drafting, execution and interpretation of surveys

- Keeps an on-going record of compliments & complaints

- Tests / Trials the own product and that of competition regularly

2) Develops Market Based Product Strategies

- Conduct extensive Research

- Is aware of and understands the competition

3) Bridges Every Department That Touches Product viz.,Sales,Market Communication,Technical, Quality & Design, Customer Service & Operations

4) Full Responsibility

- Capture and Prioritizes Ideas & Functions

- Opportunity Assessment

- Immerse in User Insights, Brand Development, Market Requirements / Customer Stories

- Work on Business Case / Investment Justification

- Design Product Requirements

- Build Subject Matter Expertise

- Launch Internal Training

- Explore Market Strategy & External Customer Research

- Prepare Marketing Plan, Sales Collaterals & External Marketing Communication

- Work on Pricing, Sales and Channel Support

5) Shared Responsibility

- Market Analysis (Competition, Trends, Supply imbalances etc)

Candidate Profile:

- Education: B. Tech + MBA

- Experience: 8-10 years of total experience in Product management or related roles in tyre/OEM companies

- Proven experience in owning and managing products across entire lifecycle

- Superlative in MS office

- Excellent Communication / Interpersonal skills

- Go-getter and result oriented

- Self-starter and team player

- Experience in Construction Equipment machinery (vehicle)- PREFERRED
