Manager - Sales - OPC Projects (8-10 yrs)
This position will be based in Mumbai and will report to the Head - OPC in Pune.
Key purpose of the job:
To drive profitable growth of OPC Projects business of the Company's steam engineering products in Western India by implementing sales and marketing policies through a team of front line Sales Professionals based in Mumbai and Vadodara
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Mechanical / Production Engineering; MBA will be an added advantage.
- 15-20 years of Sales experience, with at least 5 years in managing a team of sales professionals and achieving YoY Sales Target
- Proven experience of handling EPC Consultants, Contractors, OEMs, Key Corporate Accounts is a must
Key responsibilities :
1. Owning overall responsibility of achieving assigned sales target Western India from OPC projects business from EPC consultants, contractors and OEMs in the region.
2. Formulating strategy for achieving profitable growth in projects business for the region in consultation with OPC Management and communicating it with the team
3. Map business potential and growth opportunities for business in the region
4. Ensure customer and project-wise product mapping, market intelligence and competitor analysis
5. Tracking of OPC projects awarded on PMC, EPCM or LSTK basis to consultants / contractors in region
6. Ensuring that own specifications and concepts are incorporated with such customers at incipient stage itself
7. Monitoring coverage of customers by team on weekly and monthly basis vide MIS and advising course correction whenever required
8. Monitor and help maintain adequate offers funnel for various sales platforms- with relation to monthly, quarterly and annual targets
9. Emphasis on generation of enquiries for special products for special applications etc.
10. Establishing / maintaining rapport with customers- top management
11. Mentoring and guiding sales engineers in territories of Mumbai and Baroda to achieve their individual sales targets
12. Build-up / enhance technical and soft skill competency of team vide - learn & report- from site visits, in-house training sessions, study of plant audit reports etc.
13. Monitor outstanding payments- collection from customers in the region with a view to reduce overall NOD
