Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sales Manager with expertise in selling machinery and instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine and instruments sales, a deep understanding of the supply chain, and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to the pharma instruments market to achieve or exceed sales targets. Identify new business opportunities, assess market needs, and deliver innovative solutions to customers.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, formulators, and purchasing teams. Regularly engage with clients to understand their product needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Business Development: Drive the expansion of the machine & instruments customer base by identifying and targeting potential clients in the pharmaceutical industry. Develop partnerships that lead to sustained business growth.
- Product Promotion & Technical Support: Present the company's machine & instruments product portfolio to customers and provide technical support to help them understand product applications. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customers receive tailored solutions.
- Negotiation & Deal Closing: Lead negotiations on pricing, contract terms, and deal closures. Ensure deals align with business goals while providing customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Liaise with internal teams, including production and quality control, to ensure the timely delivery of products and address any customer requirements.
- Market Research & Intelligence:
Stay informed on pharma instruments market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Regularly report findings and recommendations to the management team.
- After-sales Support:
Ensure a smooth post-sales process by coordinating with operations and logistics teams. Provide ongoing support to customers to maintain long-term relationships.
Qualifications:
Education:
Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering (Preferred for technical sales)
Business Administration / Marketing / Commerce (For sales-focused roles)
MBA (Sales & Marketing / International Business) - Helps in strategic sales growth and leadership roles.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the industry, with a focus on machines & instruments. A strong understanding of the pharma instruments market and customer needs is essential.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Supply Chain & Logistics for handling equipment distribution.
- Proven ability to execute successful sales strategies .
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Compensation:
