Job Duties of an Insurance Agent:
- Sells life, health, and disability insurance to meet the shifting insurance needs of clients.
- Builds effective working connections with clients.
- Builds a foundation for long-term client sources.
- Creates prospect lists.
- By setting up fact-finding appointments and figuring out the amount of current coverage and investments, determines the specific needs and financial situations of clients.
- Finds the long-term objectives of the clients.
- By calculating and quoting rates for both the implementation of a long-term strategy and an immediate coverage action, one develops a coordinated protection plan.
- Converses with the adjusters.
- Obtains coverage application approval from underwriting by finishing it.
- Delivers the insurance, makes plans for upcoming follow-up visits, and assesses needs to complete coverage.
