Manager - Sales - Industrial Products (2-4 yrs)
Sales Manager is to improve organization's market position and achieve financial growth. This person defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinating and Supervising for the Information/ Data requirement from Unit / Corporate / Group Companies / Inter Departments.
- Managing sales in assigned customers/markets-ASEAN (including Thailand), Japan, China, Australia & New Zealand is Preferred but not compulsory
- Identifying and developing new customers & distributors in the aforesaid territories
- Identifying new applications & product development opportunities - to serve as feed for new product development
- Preparing Sales plans, MIS and other routine reports for the sales region assigned
- Coordination with SCM for production & dispatch plans
- Profiling of customers (Customer Size, Application, Product Requirements, People in the organization)
- Prepare forecast, develop appropriate strategy to attain Sales Target
- Analysis for Comparison of budget versus actual - Variance Analysis
- Interpret & analyze industry data
- Preparation of Sales and Marketing MIS, analyze and propose improvement initiatives
- Assist SM Head in formulating SM policy for the assigned market
- New customer acquisition, its maintenance and growth
- Developing robust processes for managing business transaction with customers
- Scan the Industry related environment and suggest possible marketing initiatives for improved business performance
- Coordination with SCM for production & dispatch plans
Qualification, Experience & Skill Sets:
1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering & MBA from Premier Institute with Minimum 2 years of Sales and Marketing experience in a Industrial Products industry or Engineering industry
2. An ambitious and detail-oriented individual with clear vision of growth.
3. Able to turn issue into opportunity, able to seek information and good market intelligence, and possess skills in broad people management.
4. Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Strong stakeholder management skill- able to build relationship across all levels, both internally and externally.
5. Extensive sales experience, with recent experience selling across the ASEAN region - Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines & Singapore Preferred.
6. Strong sales track record with Business to Business, B2B sales experience
7. Experience working with manufacturing and industrial firms in the region
8. Previous experience negotiating with CXO and purchasing managers
9. High degree of pro-activity and track record of being a self-starter
