Manager - Sales - Hotel (5-10 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy and Planning :
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve the hotel's revenue goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and target potential clients in the corporate, leisure, and group sectors.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Client Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Conduct regular client visits and host site inspections to promote the hotel's facilities and services.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and increase brand awareness.
Sales Activities :
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Manage the sales process from inquiry to booking, ensuring smooth coordination with the operations team.
Collaboration and Communication :
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the front office, reservations, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing on sales activities and performance.
Revenue Management :
- Monitor and analyze the hotel's sales performance and adjust strategies as needed.
- Develop pricing strategies and promotional offers to maximize revenue.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual sales budget and forecast.
Training and Development :
- Train and mentor junior sales staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their targets.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and CRM systems.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
