Manager - Sales - FMCG (7-12 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company targets for revenue, market share, and profitability within the designated region or product category.
- Manage and lead a team of sales representatives, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and achieving their individual sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities and market presence.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, and channels to expand the brand's reach and grow sales volume.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify potential opportunities for product development or sales strategies.
- Ensure effective distribution of products across the region, working closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
- Implement trade promotions and marketing campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team to drive product awareness and sales at the retail level.
- Track sales performance and report results to senior management, providing insights on market conditions, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure maximum return on investment for sales initiatives and activities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with sales representatives to assess progress, provide coaching, and offer solutions for improving sales performance.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of new sales team members, ensuring the team has the necessary skills to succeed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all sales operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market growth.
- Strong understanding of FMCG sales channels, including retail, wholesale, and e-commerce.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Ability to analyze market trends and data, making informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
- Ability to travel as required within the region.
