Job Description
As a Area Sales Manager _Sales you would be the focal point in defining the Organizations PAN India as well as Exports sales cycle. You will be an early stage contributor in building confidence for Sales representative /Partners/Dealers/OEM- s/ Export clients throughout PAN India and Export Region in order to maximize growth and increase market share.
Key Performance area:
Market Research: Understanding different markets is the key. The position is responsible for understanding research to gather information on market dynamics through digital marketing, and other digital medias, creating target account list and keeping the team updated with all developments is any systems and processes in all the regions.
Contact Mining : Scanning through various platforms and portals to mine for relevant contacts and leads within the target accounts
and create a database that would serve as the backbone for business development, The mined contacts should be live and relevant to the top leadership of the target accounts.
Qualification metrics and Process: Creating a process through which the life cycle of a lead can be clearly tracked from lead generation to closure. Defining and ensuring that a certain metrics is strictly followed in order to implement efficiency and conversion. The qualification process should be constantly driving effective generation and shorter sales cycles.
Lead Generation: Reaching out to contacts in the database to explain the technology and present product features, benefits and differentiation in detail. This should be via outbound calling, email communications, and other direct marketing methods, digital marketing, google AdWords, LinkedIn,, twitter, etc. Identify decision makers which include CEO,CIO,CTO,COO,CMO and their vertical leads to present organizations technology value propositions.
Lead qualification: Following up with the leads ( Suspects & Prospects ) and taking them through the qualification process. Involving Various teams over the discussions whenever needed and as defined in the qualification process . The qualification process should result in a healthy funnel wherein there are plenty of matured leads/ opportunities that can be forecasted for closure.
Sales Conversion Support :Enable and ensure complete support from Sales in pushing all forecasted opportunities into conversion .Coordinate with Sales team to ensure all meetings pertaining to product demos, business model discussions, launch and commercial negotiations are conducted smoothly.
Participation : keeping a watch on upcoming exhibitions in Industry in India and abroad and discussing with management for strategic participation, engaging the team and responsible for the success of trade fairs, exhibitions, and organizing seminars for the technocrats, mechanics, service partners etc for the growth of organization.
Relationship Management : Building and Managing relationship with all relevant leads, prospects and clients to mine for new opportunities and enable consistent revenue collection
Team Management : managing a sales team throughout PAN INDIA and Exports executive, backend sales team, technical support executive, and analyzing their daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting, their performances and provide them with required training to enhance their skill set which will increase the sales in organization
Training and Development : responsible for training and development of new team members on board in the team and support them till they individually perform their sales roles and responsibility as the organizations rules and regulations and processes
- Travelling all over India to create more business partners for the organization and supporting team members in closing the sales deals Analyzing Profit and loss sheet of every deal before closing the deal
- Going through technical specifications and heat load calculations before closing any technical deal with the clients Customer Satisfaction
