Manager - Sales - Flexible Packaging & Laminates (7-12 yrs)
- Support Leads and Heads in formulating overall Sales, Marketing and Business
- Development strategy and plan based on sales forecast, customer requirements,past sales data and market trends.
- Collect data, conduct requisite analysis and provide inputs to Lead- Sales & Marketing for preparation of sales forecast/order pipeline estimate.
- Execute plans for increasing the market share and profitability for respective segment, region, product, component through analysis of market intelligence/ trends in consultation with Lead and Head.
- Continuously scan the environment for business opportunities in the form of tenders / bid and proactive business development activities and make periodic MIS on the same.
- Support in framing and execution of the sales approach in consultation with superiors and execute the same.
- Execute plans to meet sales profitability targets in consultation with Lead, identify challenges, if any and provide inputs for addressing the same.
- Work closely with Proposal, Documentation and Coordination team for development of proposals and effective documentation of all sales activities and maintenance of databases.
- Conduct customer visits and periodically take feedback on the products, project, service, process and address any concern they might have or escalate the same to Seniors.
- Coordinate closely with other departmental teams for sales related matters.
- Coordinate with Marketing & Promotion team for creating marketing publications and promotion schemes for respective segment, product, region or service.
- Identify sales partners (channels/vendors/distributors) and execute plans for development of an effective distribution network through continuous interaction with existing and new sales partners.
- Provide inputs for formulation of guidelines to be adopted by sales partners and drive communication of the same.
- Continuously interact with sales partners to understand customer requirements,market trends and resolve concerns, if any.
- Continuously evaluate sales partners- performance and as and intervene when required.
- Assign goals to sales partners as per overall Sales targets for the assigned segments, closely monitor them and intervene as and when required.
- Periodically introduce sales promotions schemes / incentives for sales partners and customers in consultation with superiors.
- Provide training to sales force of sales partners on products / services.
- Provide inputs for preparation of agreements and contracts for customers, book orders; Maintain proper documentation of all sales and post sales activities.
- Provide input for delivery schedule and coordinate with Production, ProductionPlanning, Sourcing & Vendor Development, Inventory Management, Stores andLogistics teams to ensure timely delivery; take corrective action in case of any deviation from delivery schedule.
- Maintain effective documentation of dispatch of finished goods.
- Raise invoice in consultation with Superiors and Finance & Accounts team based on delivery of work / product / services as per the contract terms.
- Follow up for payment and ensure timely receipt of the payment from buyers.
- Collect Sales tax forms, confirmation of Balances, reconciliations, adjustments of customers- ledger accounts, other forms and documents and ensure adherence to sales, customer service and commercial processes in line with financial and legal control parameters.
- Work closely with Installation team during the installation of product and support in addressing any challenges faced.
- Communicate with customers in timely manner regarding delivery status for better planning and coordination between both parties.
- Follow up with customer to ensure effective service delivery, quick resolution of queries, and contract renewal.
- Work closely with Customer Care cell to ensure timely response to after sales requests including service / repairs and any customer concerns in consultation with Lead and Head.
- Gather, analyze and report data on market intelligence, potential evaluation, performance of offerings vis--vis competitors, and trends in customer requirements and behaviours.
- Monitor adherence to annual budget for region and highlight any deviations to Superiors.
- Utilize SAP for efficient processing / reporting of sales transactions within the assigned domain.
