Manager - Sales - Education (2-5 yrs)
Basic Function :
Will be responsible for - Sales- of the digital publishing products (with focus on digital Journals, Databases) & Software Services in the Medical, Academic, Corporate & K-12 markets.
- Additional segments may be added or deleted as deemed necessary by the Company.
Essential Functions :
- Provide balanced sales coverage of named accounts in one's territory
- Coordinate selling strategy on Target Accounts
- Achieve a growth quota for overall sales in their region.
- Have quotes prepared, literature sent, and coordinate with the respective Account Executive to set up trials when appropriate.
Travel: (40-60%) plus; attend conferences as deemed necessary.
- Achieve an expert level of knowledge of digital journal publishing's products & competition.
- Provide input from the market for product development and marketing.
- Develop sales strategy for their region for overall sales of Electronic Publishing products & Software services.
- Provide training of Electronic Publishing products & Software Services to customers.
- Communicate with reporting Manager on Target Accounts and Field issues.
- Provide Daily reports to reporting officer on target account activity, training & strategy.
Qualifications :
Knowledge :
Academic background with Bachelor's degree Or Higher MBA or equivalent preferred.
Experience :
2-3 years of true field sales experience. Basic understanding of computers and library research. A stickler for achieving targets consistently.
