Job Description - Manager - Sales, Business Development and Merchant On-boarding
A Key Account Sales and On-boarding process-based profile with aspects of dedicated marketing functions incorporated towards on-boarded outlets and relationship management with team handling. We- re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced professional who understands the key deliverables of Sales and On-boarding and can cater to quick and innovative methods of conversion.
Task Profile and Broad Duties: The candidate will be responsible for managing, supervising, training and upskilling of the assigned Sales team. The candidate will also be accountable for process implementation, execution and performance analysis and review for the team in the function and monitoring the department's compliance with operational policies in order to keep up-to-date with the progress of their duties.It will also demand further inputs and implementations in line with the evolution of the Organization's goals. It involves on-ground hands-on - get down and dirty- approach.
Position: Manager - Sales and Merchant on-boarding
Educational Qualifications: Master's Degree / MBA is a must.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience - Sales / Business Development Domain. The candidate has to be experienced in a Food & Bev-Tech set-up. Start-up experience will be a huge added advantage.
Reports to: Director - Sales
Focus Areas: The Focus Areas include but are not limited to the below:
1. On-boarding of Chain restaurants, Chain Hotels, Premium Outlets, Stand-alone Hotels, Stand-alone restaurants for app based and Voice based functions.
2. Handling of Sales team - Daily operational updates.
3. Cross-Marketing Promotions of On-boarded Outlets - End to End
4. On-boarded outlet Offers - from suggestions to creation with up and down time and management
5. Marketing of Revenue based offers for On-boarded outlets for positioning on the app
6. RRR (Relationship, Re-offer and Re-engagement) Management with On-boarded outlets including personal visit as required
7. Innovative Sales through Affiliates and Partnerships
8. Innovative Sales through Project Partners
Scope per Focus Area: On-boarding of Chain outlet / Hotels and premium category outlets
- Lead Creation and Listing
- SalesForce CRM addition with funnel parameters
- Database of contact numbers / contact person
- Visits and Relationship building
- Brand marketing via personal contact and tools
- Tools creation including High level presentation
- Handover to On-boarding Team for building Chain Catalogue
- On-boarding process completion
Handling Sales Team
- Route mapping
- Sales team reports creation, evaluation and analysis of DSRs
- MBO (Management by Objectives) and Target setting
- Guiding the team on strategies for better sales and eliminating roadblocks
- Close look on on-boarding status
- Team performance Matrix
Cross marketing promotions of on-boarded outlets
- Evaluate Cross marketing promos
- Budgeting, Costing and Revgen based ROI calculation per outlet based on spend analysis
- Handling Operations and Sales design team for churning out requirements
- Posting and engagement of cross promo tools
- Database management
- End to end execution
On-boarded outlet marketing offers management
- Collating offers from on-boarded outlets through sales team
- Positioning strategy - Area wise
- Revenue plan based on positioning - Geo-fencing based
- Designing of the offer creatives - Ensure timely posting and removal on the app UI Marketing of Revenue based offers for On-boarded outlets for positioning on the app
- Revenue model creation and execution through sales team
- Key accounts handling for the same
- Targets management
Relationship and Re-engagement Management with On-boarded outlets
- Key account handling on relationship and issue resolution if any
- Same process through team
Innovative Sales
- Creating Sales channels through Industry specific outreach partners and affiliates - Creating incentive-based plans considering the 10 step on-boarding cycle and assessment of per partner / affiliate contribution
Profile Requirements:
- Needs to have a - Builder- attitude and not just a - Follower- of instructions
- Knowledge of CRM tools like SalesForce / ERP
- B2C background | B2B2C background
- Previous experience as a Sales Manager or similar role
- Needs to have the maturity to handle Business priorities and execute accordingly
- Continuous Improvement of process and team with Excellence attitude
- Hands-on experience implementing operational processes
- Good knowledge in the Food tech space and hospitality-based operations platform - Excellent project supervision and report making skills
- Handling large team of more than 50 to 75 employees across geographies
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail is among the most important attributes
- Proficient in MS Office
- High Proficiency in English language - written and spoken
- Team leadership
- Can handle rapid team growth and sales growth by 5x or 10x with ease
- Peoples' person with good relationship building skills for intra departmental and inter departmental strengthening
- Clear in communication - written and verbal
- Clear in instructions - giving and receiving

Work Format: Work on Field + Work from Home / Office (When Office operations resume)
Location: Pune/ Mumbai - Willing to shift to Mumbai as required
Compensation: 15 lakhs to 25 lakhs per annum
