Manager - Sales - Automation (5-10 yrs)

- Company offers repairs and replacement parts for industrial controls whether PLCs, DCS, Power Supplies, Industrial PCs, HMI (Flat Panel Screens) Drives, and Relays.

- Your new role - Sales Manager (Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata Gujarat Location), challenging and future-oriented to track market dynamics cultivate, leverage, and maintain customer relationships, proactively determine customers' needs and potential opportunities for Industrial control systems for Gas plants, Power Plant, Metal, Oil & Gas Industry

Role description :

- Collect market information, track forthcoming requirements of all Gas Plant, Power Plant, Metal, Oil & Gas Industries monitor competitor's activities,

- organize presentations &and seminars to facilitate registration with customers/clients, send product information mailers, maintain customer contact to create awareness of Control automation products, and favorably influence customers.

- Identify potential customers, build, and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, and understand the drivers for customers' business to improve GTC prospects for the project

. Accountability towards monthly targets on orders/shipments &and quarterly targets on opportunity pipeline.

. Drive sales growth and increase market share in Assigned Territory

- Deal with key customers in Power, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverages, Chemical, segments

- Manage customer relationships from top to bottom and ensure customer satisfaction through product and services

- Drive value selling and value communication actions at key accounts

- Strategize and drive marketing and service offerings to key accounts

- Conceptualize and execute pricing and service agreements with key accounts.

- Develops, implements & sustains comprehensive account plans (sales, marketing, and service programs/strategies) to achieve annual booking and sales numbers

- Meet weekly customer visit targets and generate sales opportunities

- Be a single point contact for coordination related to customers.

- Prepares and maintains all sales documentation (Sales Funnel, Client Profile, etc.) and ensures updated maintenance of the CRM system. Understand customer requirements and offer correct product/technology solutions.

- Ensure timely submission of a technical and commercial offer.

- Regular follow-up with customers to conclude the order

- Coordination/Teamwork with supply chain and service teams to ensure fulfillment of orders to customer satisfaction.

- On-time payment collection from customers

- Monitor and analyze competition activities in the sales territory

- Continuously maintain and update the market information including competitors' activities, and market and industry trends in the region in order to enable the management to analyze and work out strategies.

- Attend techno-commercial discussions and follow-up with customers and timely feedback to ensure proper offer follow-up, improve offer competitiveness, and prospect for project acquisition.

- The role requires extensive knowledge &and experience of the Industry, and crucial know-how to close orders directly with customers.


- Have experience in handling industrial customers in the region. Target-oriented and able to handle the high-pressure environment of Sales.


- Maintaining customer relations over long periods of time including cold calls.

Scope of Responsibilities :

- Plan, Sales, and AR for customers for control automation solutions (Mainly Oil & Gas, Power, and Metal)

- Managing forecasting of Sales and Orders with the team thru standard processes

Responsible for opportunities funnel creation for short- and long-term business

Market Analysis, Alignment with Growth Strategy, and Planning.

- Mapping of End users, O&M

- Managing opportunity management systems

Knowledge/Skills Requirements :

- Bachelor's Engineer Degree with a minimum 5-year experience in selling Control automation products to end customers

- Knowledge of Industrial Automation products must

- Excellent communication skills, oral and written English proficiency, and ability to collaborate with a global team.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint required.

- Self-motivated with a strategic mindset.
