Profile:
Sales Manager - Agency
Purpose:
- To achieve the budgeted sales target for the agency vertical at the Office level
Location: Operating Office
Reporting to: Office Manager
Span of Control (Nos of Reportees ): Nil
Responsibilities:
- Ensure familiarization of the company's products, policies and sales processes to the agents
- Identify, communicate and agree on the premium targets with agents on various class of business & geographical segments
- Maximize mobilization through regular follow-ups & strengthening of relationships with agents
- Balance agent's portfolio within various classes of business and ensure channel profitability
- Ensure constant updation of agent's knowledge on new products of RGICL and underwriting policies
- Ensure lower dormancy ratio of active Vs total agents
Troubleshooting with :-
- Underwriting team for policy approval
- Service Centre operations team for policy issuance
- Service Centre claims team for claims settlement
- Finance team for timely disbursement of agent's commission
- Recruiting new IRDA agents
- Control on Cover Note recon and Cheque bouncing
- Constant co-ordination witho Underwriting team for policy approval.
- Office operations team for policy issuance.
- Service Centre claims team for claims settlement.
- Finance team for timely disbursement of agent's commission.
Skills & Competencies:

Qualification and Experience :
- MBA/ Graduate - 1 to 5 years experience in Sales, experience in general insurance industry would be an added advantage - Preferred industries - Financial Services organisations
