PR Manager
- 4-6 years of total exp. (0.6 -2 years of relevant exp. in Fashion, Fitness or F&B, Hospitality sector)
In this role we need you to showcase:
- YMW & Client networking understanding:
- Uphold agency core values, mission, vision, ethics and code of conduct in the day-to-day liaison with internal and external network partners and resolves the conflict
- Knowledgeable about Client and YMW services, products and offerings within a practice, office and network offices (including regional & global)
- Written Communications, Editing & Presentation:
- Actively coach subordinates to become proficient in the written and verbal communications
- Demonstrates proficiency in writing key strategic documents (e.g. key messages, FAQs) apart from the basic documents such as press releases, pitch notes/emails, media releases etc.
- Demonstrate editing and proofreading ability
- Articulate in representing the agency and team well and in a warm, professional manner in business meetings
- Actively listens and engages others in discussing ideas during meetings
- Present confidently and persuasively
- Lead and moderate presentations in ongoing client meetings
- Proficient in conducting pre-event or interview client briefings for key events/opportunities
- Respond to requests for information from the media or designate an appropriate spokesperson or information source
- Communicate information on brands and products to required media-list regularly
Account Management :
- Ensure & demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of client's business strategy
- Help subordinates build relationships with their client contacts and coach subordinates on improving their client relationships
- Build trust with the client and be regularly consulted for opinions and ideas
- Actively coach subordinates to achieve proficiency in Account Servicing
- Understand how achieving success in tactical elements/programs meet client's overall objectives
- Responsible for overall client reporting and evaluation
- Efficiently organize and structure client account practices/processes and supervise team to maintain processes
- Able to conduct an in-depth interview with senior media professionals
- Track all domains in which the clients are being serviced
- Competition/Competitors News to be flagged off every day
- Curate and Manage special events, execute cross promotions and tie-ups
- Responsibility for celebrity outreach for designer/jewellery sourcing and tie-ups
- Conceptualise and Execute regular Listings
- Travel for Bridge Building Meetings and Media Experiential at all times
- Manage Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reports for internal communication as well as client briefing
- Creation of Physical and Online Dossiers of client coverage
- Business Development and Client Servicing
- Ideation and Execution of story ideas for each client on a fortnightly basis
- Lead and moderate presentations in ongoing client meetings as well lead presentations in key client meetings
- Develop and maintain effective working relations with media
- Digital Management:
- Actively coach subordinates in digital / influencer research
- Develop PR plans with integrated social media elements
- Understand how and which social media tools are used internationally
- Able to counsel client on how and why local digital plans should differ or be similar to international practices
- Social Media updates related to handled clients
- Evaluate advertising and promotion programs
- Execution of on-ground media handling and getting appropriate photo-ops during client events
- Work closely with the Social Media Team to develop integrated PR+Social Media strategy for the brands they are managing and manage their implementation with their teams
- Team Management:
- Lead by example to encourage teamwork among subordinates and help to build team morale
- Able to plan fair delegation of work effectively across team members, and set expectations of standards required of team members
- Conduct scheduled staff evaluations fairly, effectively and thoughtfully
- Track progress of subordinate against identified competencies gaps throughout the year and provide timely feedback and guidance
- Mentor employees in career planning and broader work-life situations
- Pre-empt team conflicts and resolve them efficiently and amicably; escalate to supervisors and the HR team if unable to resolve conflicts or staff issues
- Reward/ make recommendations for team/ team member's performance or successes; Assist supervisors in team resource planning and identifying high-performing staff for career mapping, and update them on team developments
- Identify appropriate training and development opportunities for self and team members
- Follow-up on subordinates- practice of skills learned in key training programs
- Seek to constantly improve team performance
- Seeks additional responsibilities; actively seeks - the new- and - the next-
- Regularly seek feedback on own performance for self-development
- Skills & Experience required on the job :
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Communications Consulting (agency experience is must)
- Graduate/Post-Graduate in Marketing/Advertising/Communications/Economics or Equivalent
- Able to analyze issues or challenges from multiple perspectives, including where PR falls in the marketing mix
- Actively coach subordinates to achieve proficiency and build expertise in Account Servicing
- Apply critical thinking and perspective to developing a point of view on, and solving client challenges and issues
- Make realistic and sound recommendations that take into consideration short and long-term perspectives, and client's constraints
- Demonstrates ability to see beyond current assignment
- Identifies broad, long-term opportunities and areas for business growth, both organic and new
- Team handling and assist in new hiring
- You are innovative, self-motivated, challenge status quo and are looking for ways to improve things
