Manager - Presales - IT Hardware & Networking (5-10 yrs)
Job Description :
As a Pre-Sales Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our sales efforts. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by delivering high-quality pre-sales support, technical consultations, and solution demonstrations to prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Technical Consultation :
- Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and objectives, providing technical expertise and recommendations for IT hardware, networking, storage, and server solutions.
- Conduct needs assessments and solution design workshops with clients to gather requirements, identify pain points, and propose customized solutions that address their specific needs.
2. Solution Demonstrations :
- Lead solution demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) activities to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our IT hardware, networking, storage, and server solutions to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to customize demonstrations and develop compelling use cases that resonate with client requirements.
3. Proposal Development :
- Assist the sales team in the preparation of technical proposals, solution architectures, and statements of work (SOWs), ensuring alignment with client needs and objectives.
- Review and validate proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and feasibility of proposed solutions.
4. Customer Engagement :
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and technical consultant throughout the sales cycle.
- Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions for clients to educate them on our products, technologies, and best practices.
5. OEM/Vendor engagement :
- Actively engage with the OEMs/Vendor to be updated on the products, technology, solutions and technology trends.
- Work closely with the OEMs in conducting Pre-Sales analysis of customer requirements and providing structured solutions.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor degree in Engineering - Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is desirable.
- Proven experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical consulting role, preferably within the IT hardware, networking, storage, and server industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Deep technical expertise in IT hardware, networking, storage, and server technologies, with proficiency in solution architecture design and implementation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce/ZOHO/Hubspot) and sales enablement tools is preferred.
