Manager - New Product Development/Market Research - Oral Care Solutions (1-3 yrs)
- Perfora is building holistic oral care solutions to elevate everyday oral care for Indian consumers. We are seeking an experienced New Product Development Manager to join our team in creating and launching new products. As a New Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development process, from ideation to launch, and ensuring that all products meet customer needs and expectations.Perfora is co-founded by Jatan Bawa and Tushar Khurana who cumulatively have more than 10+ years of experience across consumer internet and consumer brands. They met in 2016 on a train journey named Jagriti Yatra and have known each other since then.Perfora has raised a seed round of capital in June 2022 and is backed by marquee investors like Sauce.vc, Lotus Herbals Family Office, Shiprocket Ventures, and celebrated entrepreneurs.The brand believes in adding value in the life of everyday consumers and is conscious of its impact on the environment. It is the only Indian oral care brand that is a proud member of 1%For The Planet and as a part of its association, 1% of its revenue is directed towards non profit organizations.
Roles and responsibilities :
- Managing the ideation process for new products and conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and marketing, to develop product concepts and specifications.
- Liaison with manufacturing partners to ensure the timely production and delivery of new products.
- Monitor the development process, ensuring that all milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Work on product designs, packaging, and labeling to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Manage the testing and evaluation of prototypes and samples, making adjustments as needed.
- Work on the launch of new products, including planning and executing product launches and coordinating with the sales and marketing teams to ensure successful market penetration.
- Continuously evaluate the performance of existing products and suggest improvements to maintain their competitive edge in the market.
- Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in product design, technology, and innovation.
- Ensure the visibility of incoming inventory for key stakeholders.
- Liaison with our existing manufacturing partners to ensure inventory production and delivery timelines.
- Work with our design team to proofread packaging files and contribute to new design ideas.
- Coordinate with the internal team with respect to the logistics of incoming inventory
Experience/skills :
- 1-3 years of experience in product development or a related field
- Strong understanding of the product development process, including ideation, concept development, prototyping, testing, and launch.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in market research, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Experience with product pricing, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
