Manager - Marketing & Communications - Hotels (5-10 yrs)
The Marcom Manager is responsible for the promotion of the hotel, its image, facilities and services to the general public, customers, the hotel and the community. He / she is also responsible for gaining positive exposure for the hotel in mass media and the community, as well as building a solid presence in the market by maintaining good relationship with the press and the local community.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key resource to marketing peers for prospect & customer value scoring logic & analysis content engagement scoring & weighting to ensure maximum impact, effectiveness and ROI from execution of demand-generation & marketing automation programs
- Market Engagement -Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in hospitality industry and participate in trade associations and industry events to develop a thorough knowledge of segment drivers and customer needs
- Works with leadership to initiate, execute, analyze and refine multi-outlet sales and other traffic- and revenue-generating programs, including online and offline tactics
- Provides guidance to lodging properties for message and brand alignment, marketing- related best practices
- Consistently communicates with marketing leader on project progress
- Assist in the development of a media plan
- Send weekly marketing recap report to stakeholders
- Vertical Market Positioning- Apply vertical market knowledge to create value propositions and marketing messages relevant to this vertical segment.
- Sales Support -Develop marketing toolkits and facilitate their understanding and promotion of solutions, and delivery of sales messages.
- Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Develops strong partnerships with local organizations to further increase brand/product awareness.
- Develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships.
- Design prints according to hotel standards and ensure print quality.
- Manage a comprehensive targeted database and advertise hotel promotions.
- Monitor expenses according to the commercial development department budget to maximize return on investment.
- Liaise with other hotel departments, outside organizations or government departments to coordinate and implement different hotel projects.
- Assist with photography, video shooting and interviews of domestic and foreign media.
- Update the gallery and promotional kit in a timely manner to maintain a fixed capital list.
- Prepare, plan and execute hotel public relations activities.
- Maintain normal communication with the local media.
- Monitor the design project.
- Responsible for the management of the Marcom department.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelors/ Masters/ MBA/ PGDM in General Management/ Sales/ Marketing.
- 3 to 8 years in Public Relations, minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing & Branding.
- Customer orientation, Decision making, People Management, Analytical ability,
Communication skills.
- Able to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility
Key Customers
- Guests and external stakeholders. Immediate team and managers from support departments, suppliers, government agencies, event management companies, External and Internal auditors, critiques and Guests.
Key Success Metrics
- Timely achieving targeted revenue of the outlets/hotel, Performance against budget, NPS scores, Guest Feedback, Ratings and placement of the outlets in market segment, Review, Audit scores
- Percentage of service complaints.
Language Proficiency
- Should be fluent in both English, Hindi and preferably the Regional dialect.
IT Knowledge
- Microsoft Office, Oracle Orion R12
Travel
- Should be flexible to move within the company according to requirement and also for personal growth.
