Manager - International Sales - FMCG (8-24 yrs)
Manager - International Sales - FMCG (East African Exposure and Kenya Exposure is Must)
Title/Designation : Manager - International Sales.
Function : Sales.
Location - Nairobi.
Position Overview :
Responsible for Eastern and Southern Africa business - Should ensure proper planning & implementation of sales strategies to meet annual sales budget with desired product mix.
Key Stakeholders:
Internal: Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing.
External: Distributors, Trade partners.
Educational Qualification :
Graduate and MBA.
Experience :
Must Have Experience Of Working In East Africa And Especially In Kenya.
- Minimum 8 years post MBA experience at a managerial level in a reputed FMCG organization.
- At-least 3 years Africa experience required.
- Experience of Food will be added advantage.
- High degree of analytics for effective decision making.
- Should have experience managing respective markets.
- Should have proven track record of building business in new territories.

Good oral and written communication in English.
An energetic self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
Good commercial skills and business minded approach to solving problems.
Good skills in Excel and analytical approach to data.

Key Responsibilities :
Sales Management:
- Achieve volume and value targets on a monthly, quarterly & yearly basis.
- Create 5 markets which will have reasonable scale and will be the growth engines for the future.
- Develop and implement effective quarter plans with high degree of detail to translate yearly sales and market share objectives into achievable and measurable milestones.
- To assign sales & distribution targets to the distributor team to seek maximum market potential and to achieve the objectives set for the area.
- Develop new international markets on a sustainable basis.
- Ensure regular tracking of performance through daily, weekly and monthly sales reports. Need to track both quantitative and qualitative information.
- Ensure proper availability, visibility & freshness of products at the outlets through the S&D team.

- To evaluate & review the performance of the distributor Team and develop them with appropriate training.
Business Processes & Systems
- Put in place a strong MIS that communicates the critical information for effective decision making.
- Design robust processes to track sales effectiveness and monitor and take corrective action in a timely manner.
