Job Description: Sales Manager - Fastener Industry
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Manager to join our growing team in the fastener industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and exceeding sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, and customer prospecting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including distributors, OEMs, and end-users.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers while ensuring profitability.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives (if applicable).
- Attend industry trade shows and conferences to network and build brand awareness.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any customer issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of proven sales experience in the fastener / farm equipment / OEM / Hand tool industry required. (preference shall be given to candidates with experience in fastener industry).
- Strong understanding of the fastener market, including product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Proven ability to exceed sales targets consistently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations.
- Experience in managing a sales team.
