Position Background :
- In 2019, Client achieved it's founders- goal of - Transforming 100 Million Lives- through sales & distribution of more than 20 million solar light and power products. Client in India contributed significantly to achieving the founders- goal through transforming more than 42 million lives in India through sales of more than 10 million solar products in India. Most of these products sold were sourced from China.
- Around the same time, India also achieved the unique feat of connecting almost entire country with state power grid. With bulk of the households in India receiving electricity, traditional portfolio of solar lanterns procured from China has become less relevant for clients India business.
- In view of this, client India has set up a dedicated product development & engineering team to set up it's India Manufacturing capability of products relevant for Indian consumers and also help build India as an exporting hub for these products across the world.
- Client India has already set up a portfolio of new products which include a complete range of solar panels, solar & non-solar inverters, batteries, lighting and non-lighting social impact products, all made in India. These products are hugely in demand in various countries of the world. Job Expectation and Scope :
- Manager - Exports will help build Export driven International Business for client branded made in India product portfolio of solar & non-solar inverters, batteries, lighting and non-lighting social impact products to overseas customers across the world. Key markets are Africa, Asia-Pacific, Middle-east Asia and South America.
- We seek a professional who will proactively build knowledge of the business, financials, products and services, the market or account needs. The person will be responsible to do this by acquiring new clients and promote India sourced client products through partnership with different potential local institutions. The person will work closely with various internal departments to ensure process implementation.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Set up export business for clients India sourced product portfolio and generate targeted sales revenue
2. Identify & build strong business relationships with various customers for client's India sourced portfolio of products through own network, references and business development efforts including emails, phone calls and visit to identified countries
3. Responsible for the development of international business through channel management for portfolio planning, pricing, product-gap analysis, competition analysis etc.
4. Responsible to manage all aspects including, business planning, content strategy and development of product portfolio, promotional campaigns, and other brand marketing platform to increase product awareness, customer service etc.
5. Export sales spend planning, budgeting and ROI analysis.
6. Business planning including sales forecasting, budgeting and value chain management along with Finance.
7. Responsible to negotiate prices & deal contracts; coordinate with exports team to ensure successful fulfilment; and resolve customer concerns
8. Should have knowledge of local government rules and regulations applicable to Trading & Distribution business in target countries.
9. Managing packaging material, labelling, invoicing requirements for the business
10.Act as a point-of-contact for all communication with the customers and company's internal departments; be active in resolution of technical, delivery and payment issues
11.Responsible for processing and dispatching orders on a regular basis as well as returns management.
12.Support Finance and Operations teams with monthly sales reporting and inventory reconciliation
13. Tracking implementation of SOPs and suggesting changes for optimization.
Successful Candidate Profile :
1. Min. Graduate/post-graduate from premier Management Institution/Master's Degree in International Business / MBA Sales & Marketing
2. Prior experience in developing & managing export sales
3. Candidates would be preferred with relevant experience in Export of Solar Power Generation Systems, Inverters, Batteries, Lighting products. However, this is not a limitation for good candidate
4. Proficiency with MS Office programs and structuring Internal & External communications for successful deal negotiations & Senior Management Approvals
5. Advanced analytical skills with experience in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating abundant information with accuracy.
6. Proficient in both oral and written English.
7. Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and organize. Demonstrate high values of ownership in a dynamic and fast-paced-culture.
