Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Manager of Corporate Communication for our mining company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication strategy, public relations, and stakeholder engagement. They will play a critical role in enhancing the company's reputation, managing external communications, and maintaining positive relationships with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
1. Communication Strategy :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communication strategy aligned with the company's goals and values.
- Create and oversee the execution of communication plans for various projects, initiatives, and corporate announcements.
- Identify opportunities to promote the company's achievements, sustainability efforts, and industry-leading practices.
2. Media Relations :
- Cultivate relationships with local, national, and international media representatives to ensure accurate and positive coverage of the company.
- Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, interviews, and press releases.
- Prepare company spokespersons for media interactions and interviews.
3. Stakeholder Engagement :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, industry associations, and non-governmental organizations.
- Develop and implement strategies for effective engagement with stakeholders to address concerns, communicate company initiatives, and promote transparency.
4. Content Creation :
- Oversee the creation of compelling and informative content, including press releases, articles, speeches, and presentations.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
5. Digital and Social Media :
- Manage the company's digital presence, including the official website and social media channels.
- Monitor online conversations and engage with stakeholders through social media platforms.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and impactful messages.
- Proficiency in managing media relations and interacting with journalists.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools and social media platforms.
