Manager - Channel Sales - Education (8-15 yrs)
Job Title: Channel Development and Sales
Location: Bangalore
Position Objective : This position will be responsible for driving inquiry and preliminary discussion for new sales partner acquisition which supports the Executive Education business vertical within Times Professional Learning Ltd. (TPL) to achieve its channel expansion and sales growth from TSW segments and products.
- This position will also be responsible for driving sales efforts across partners for acquiring new students and achieving revenue plan from specific segments and products. The person would oversee initial scrutiny of partner's profile for Executive Education business vertical within TPL
- The person in this role will need to be a self-starter with very high energy levels and the ability to achieve set revenue and margin targets. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated relationship skills, sharp analytical outlook and the ability to think and act on their feet.
Role Responsibilities :
- Sales Partner Development Responsible for the development function for distribution, tie-ups and Sales partner expansion.
- To continuously monitor and analyse markets on business performance on various levers, competition and provide high quality analytical information.
- Responsible for identifying new national chains present across the country in different states and regions
- Conduct reviews on the activities chart to assess the progress and suggest corrective course to expedite the progress of sales partner expansion.
- Highlight the highs and lows of performance on current channel and suggest corrective measures. Suggest measures and initiatives for meeting with gaps and future on business deliverables.
- Collect and analyse competitor information on distribution set up and performance for respective regions.
- Support stake holder by being Single Point of Contact for development of new MIS reports and regular MIS analysis
- Responsible for relationship management and ensuring that sales partner expectations are being met.
- The person will be the first point of contact for all sales partner ads placed to expand the TCLL network.
- Sales Partner On boarding, Management & Student Acquisition
- Responsible for devising a robust strategy for acquiring prospective learners and achieve targets Responsible for overall sales & marketing plan for sales partner, local student sourcing activities. Work within a matrix team of marketing, sales, product advisory, partner network to execute various acquisition and ground activation campaigns
- Training of sales staff and ensure timely launch of courses in the channel.
- Managing channel counsellors-, business development executives.
- Securing corporate tie- ups to enhance institutional reach
- Creating additional avenues for the student acquisition and revenue
- Provide weekly / monthly reports to the Business Head regarding performance including wins and losses
- Proactively monitor and maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization's planning efforts.
- Monitor all support and direct sales staff inducing tele callers, pre-sales and sales team to ensure that there is ZERO miss-selling at any stage. Work closely with operations team to ensure learning experience at the distributed centres are uniform and sales expectations are delivered on ground in a timely manner.
Desired experience and skillsets :
Overall 8- 10 years of channel development & sales and marketing experience with over 5 years in a centre management role of having delivered annual turnover targets
