Manager - Channel Development - Auto Parts/Ancillary (7-14 yrs)
Channel Development Manager
Location: Bangalore/Pune (1 position each)
Experience: 7-14 years of experience in channel sales & management within the automotive/heavy equipment/industrial goods industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Channel Partner Development:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new channel partners (dealers) who align with our business objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
Channel Sales Management:
- Drive sales growth through channel partners by setting ambitious sales targets and developing effective sales strategies.
- Monitor and analyze channel performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, market penetration, customer satisfaction, and dealer profitability.
Channel Capability Building:
- Implement programs to enhance the capabilities of channel partners, including sales training, product knowledge sessions, and technical support.
- Motivate and empower channel partners to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
Market Development:
- Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for channel expansion and growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and brand visibility.
Financial Management:
- Monitor and manage channel partner receivables and ensure timely payments.
- Work closely with finance to manage channel incentives and promotions.
Qualifications:
- 7-14 years of proven experience in channel sales and management within the automotive/heavy equipment/industrial goods industry.
- Strong understanding of the Indian agricultural market and the dynamics of the rural economy.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business objectives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a results-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the electric vehicle or renewable energy sector.
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales automation tools.
- MBA or equivalent degree in business administration or a related field.
