Business Development Manager (South India )

Basic Criteria for new profiles.

1. Should be from a process-driven industry - Telecom, Insurance etc.

2. Should be a process owner rather than a team leader.

3. Should be good in identifying new data sources and utilizing the same for business lead generation - upselling and reselling.

4. Should be good in team handling.

A Business Development Manager is the first contact for business. Business Development Managers educate customers about a company's products or services in order to increase sales. They develop relationships in new territories and increase sales by contacting potential clients directly.

Business Development Manager Duties and responsibilities :

A Business Development Manager uses a wide range of people-skills and expertise about their product and how that product can serve customers and businesses. Some responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include;

- Maintaining current client relationships and identifying potential clients

- Contacting potential customers to develop relationships and sales

- Developing new sales areas and improving sales through various methods

- Researching trends and creating new opportunities to increase sales

- Hiring, training and managing junior salespeople

- Maintaining a strong understanding of products and services, and innovating new ways to serve businesses

- Handle BDC Team of Two Across all Locations

- Target Setting/Incentives Approval/ Daily Monitoring /Daily Reports

- Help in Secondary Data Collection and overall ownership of the team

- Follow the annual target structure given

- Conduct Monthly Review Meetings

Business Development Manager Skills and qualifications

A successful candidate should have various skills and qualifications including:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field

- Proven sales experience in a related product or service

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely

- Expert understanding of service and product, and ability to innovate new ways the product can serve customers

- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities

- Strong organizational talents and ability to work under pressure and in new environments

- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.

- Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.

- Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.

- Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

- Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.
