Manager - Business Development - Transport Service (1-8 yrs)
About the Role :
The role as Business Development Manager for a cluster would be to profitably grow Organization in all lines of business (full truck, Express - part truck load, cold chain, marketplace and new business lines as they get added). You will execute on exciting Go-To-Market strategies to acquire new customers across corporates, SMEs, channel and retail. What makes the role more challenging is that you would develop skills in pricing, product GTM along with collections. This role would report directly to the Cluster Business Manager (CBM).
What You- ll Do :
- Prospect potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking. You will also leverage the Inside Sales team
- Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers that help achieve assigned sales targets
- Work closely with CBM to ensure product mix is maintained at an optimum level
- Support the CBM in conducting fortnightly/ monthly performance reviews with clients and understand business potential, growth opportunities, and client business trajectory
What You- ll Be Responsible For
- Develop and handle a sales book of Rs 1-10 Cr+ in his / her cluster through - hunting- new customers
What We Need
Education:
- Graduation + Post Graduation (MBA)
Years of experience :
- 1-5 Years
Professional Attributes :
- Prior external stake holder management / sales experience
- Experience in concept/solution selling / consultative sales
Personal attributes :
- Persistent with a high sense of ownership
- Should be able to understand client needs and requirements and design solutions for them
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Candidate should demonstrate ability to work in a fast paced, hyper-normal growth environment
- Strong verbal and written communication
