Manager - Business Development - Textile (10-20 yrs)

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing business strategies that drive growth and revenue for the company within the textile industry. This role involves market research, building relationships with potential clients, negotiating contracts, and working cross-functionally to ensure business goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis:

- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential customers, competitors, and industry needs.

- Analyze market conditions and customer behavior to develop strategic business opportunities.

New Business Acquisition:

- Identify new leads, prospects, and clients in the textile sector, including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and other related industries.

- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new business and expand the customer base.

- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to build brand visibility and attract new clients.

Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster customer loyalty.

- Act as the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

- Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Sales & Revenue Generation:

- Develop pricing strategies and proposals to attract new customers while maintaining profitability.

- Collaborate with the sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets.

- Monitor and report on sales performance, tracking KPIs to ensure goals are being met.

Product Knowledge:

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and technologies within the textile sector.

- Understand and communicate the company's product offerings, such as fabrics, garments, machinery, or textile-related services, to customers.

Partnership Development:

- Identify and build partnerships with other businesses in the textile supply chain to enhance product offerings or expand market reach.

- Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to secure the best pricing and quality for textile products.

Contract Negotiations & Proposal Development:

- Prepare and present business proposals, contracts, and presentations to potential clients.

- Negotiate terms and conditions for contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with other departments such as marketing, production, and logistics to ensure a seamless customer experience.

- Collaborate with the product development team to align client needs with available products.

Reporting & Strategy Development:

- Prepare regular reports for senior management on business development activities, sales forecasts, and market conditions.

- Continuously assess business strategies to identify areas for improvement and growth.
