Manager - Business Development - Steel & Alloy (3-20 yrs)
Position Overview :
- We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our Steel and Alloy Company. The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, expanding market presence, and cultivating client relationships within the steel and alloy industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of steel products and alloys, coupled with excellent business acumen and sales skills.
Responsibilities :
1. Market Analysis and Strategy :
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitor activities within the steel and alloy sector.
- Develop strategic business plans to penetrate new markets and expand the company's presence.
2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management :
- Identify and engage with potential clients, including manufacturers, construction companies, and industrial consumers, to understand their steel and alloy requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction with products and services.
3. Sales and Revenue Generation :
- Generate sales leads, pursue opportunities, and convert prospects into clients to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
4. Product Knowledge and Presentations :
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's steel and alloy products, specifications, and applications.
- Conduct presentations and demonstrations of products, highlighting their features, benefits, and suitability for client needs.
5. Collaboration and Coordination :
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure smooth execution of orders and meet customer requirements.
Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns that effectively showcase the company's products.
6. Reporting and Documentation :
- Keep accurate records of sales, contracts, client interactions, and business development activities using CRM software.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback for management review.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the steel and alloy industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel products, alloys, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proactive and results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed to engage with clients and attend industry events.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
