Manager - Business Development/Sales (3-8 yrs)
Role & Responsibilities
- Follow up on leads from marketing, tech staff, classes
- Respond in a timely way to new clients
- Follow up routinely with existing clients for new business
- Work with marketing for ideas on getting new leads
- Attend local industry meetings and trade shows
- Write proposals with input from the Co-founders and other tech staff Sales
- Provides required brief to the Co-founder/Technical Lead on details including info on the company, particular client contact, org chart, competitors, process issues etc.
- Qualifies the client
- Introduces the technical lead effectively to the client
- Responsible for clear written and verbal communications, including persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
- Organizes customer meetings with the right audience
- Negotiates and closes the business opportunities
- Ensures appropriate documentation is in place
- Maintains client relationship during project.
- Oversees correct invoicing
- Submits and follows through on change orders
- Checks in with client during project and at the end of a project.
- Gets consistent rating of 5 and above on Business Development Interaction
- Gets repeat business opportunities with some key clients.
- Keeps CRM Tools updated 2-3 times a week with accurate information
- Gets appropriate approvals for proposals and contracts
- Fills out expense reports in a timely manner according to company policy
- Assist Director, Business Dev in Research and planning to maximize sales and minimize cost of sales

- Detail-oriented, organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Have a passion for scaling design within an organization
- Great communicator, able to deliver and explain your ideas/approaches
- You have some an opinion which of the recent UX trends are completely pointless
- You understand business goals and can translate them into actionable business deliverables
- You know how to deliver elegant and simple solutions to complex problems
- You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and learn
- You feel comfortable talking about design and can argument your decisions in a deeper manner than just saying "because it looks cool"
