- As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing new revenue streams, and maintaining strong client relationships. Your role will encompass various aspects of sales, marketing, market research, product management, channel management, customer relationship management, and team leadership.
What you will do :
Sales & Marketing :
- Leading marketing and sales operations to achieve increased growth and profitability.
- Identifying new revenue streams and develop strategic plans for business expansion.
- Utilizing sales forecasting to ensure sales and profitability of products, while monitoring market trends and analyzing business developments.
Business Development :
- Identifying prospective clients and generate business from new accounts.
- Developing and nurturing client relationships to achieve consistent profitability.
- Initiating contact with potential customers, create leads, and cross-sell lubricant products.
- Building and maintaining strong business relations with major clientele to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Organizing various promotional activities to support business expansion.
Market Research :
- Identifying competitor activities and analyzing customer behaviour to gain a competitive edge.
- Staying updated on the latest marketing trends and industrial developments to fine-tune sales and marketing strategies.
Product Management :
- Revising and implementing pre and post-marketing activities for the successful launch of various products.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to conceptualize and implement sales promotional activities for brand awareness and market development.
- Building a strong brand focus while considering operational requirements and utilizing market feedback and personal networks for marketing intelligence.
Channel Management :
- Identifying and networking with financially strong and reliable international markets to expand market penetration and improve market share.
- Developing and appointing new channel partners to expand product reach in the market and coordinate with partners to promote products effectively.
Customer Relationship Management :
- Maintaining cordial relations with customers to sustain business profitability.
- Setting service level timelines and measure performance against them.
- Maximizing customer satisfaction by ensuring on-time delivery, monitoring customer complaints, and providing efficient services.
- Handling customer grievances and resolve their issues to ensure customer retention.
Team Management :
- Organizing training programs to achieve pre-planned business targets.
- Leading, training, and monitoring the performance of team members to ensure sales efficiency and meet individual and group targets.
What you need to have :
- MBA specialized in Sales and Marketing.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, and marketing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.
- Knowledge of lubricant products and industrial trends.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
