General Manager- Business Development (O&M, Water projects)

Location: Mumbai (occasional travel to project sites and client locations as required)

Reporting to : Executive Director President O&M- Water projects

Responsibilities :

Business Development :

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the sewage water treatment industry.

- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets.

- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, pricing and competitive landscape.

- Database Management & updating

Sales and Marketing :

- Lead the business-to-government (B2G) sales and relationship building efforts, targeting municipal commissioners, government water authorities, and other relevant government bodies.

- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to secure new contracts and projects.

- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials.

- Keep track of upcoming tenders and Participate in Tenders by taking inputs from dedicated teams.

Relationship Management :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal commissioners, government officials, and other key stakeholders.

- Act as the primary point of contact for government clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Attend industry conferences, meetings, and events to network and promote the company's services.

Strategic Partnerships :

- Identify and establish strategic partnerships with other companies and potential vendors/ suppliers and organizations to enhance service offerings and expand market reach.

- Negotiate and manage contracts, agreements, and partnerships to maximize value for the company.

Sector Knowledge and Compliance :

- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and advancements in sewage water treatment.

- Ensure all business development activities comply with industry standards and government regulations.

- Provide sector-specific insights and knowledge to internal teams to support business growth.
