Manager - Business Development - Marketing Services (3-4 yrs)
Job Overview:
The Business Development Manager in Digital Marketing is responsible for driving new business opportunities and growth for the company's digital marketing services. This role involves identifying prospects, developing and nurturing client relationships, and working closely with internal teams to develop tailored digital marketing solutions. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape and a proven ability to close deals with both small and enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Sales Prospecting:
- Identify potential clients within targeted industries and verticals who can benefit from digital marketing services.
- Use online platforms, social media, networking, and market research to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Develop and execute lead generation campaigns through digital channels, such as LinkedIn, email marketing, and SEO-driven content.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Engage with potential clients through consultations, presentations, and proposals to close business deals.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure high retention and customer satisfaction.
- Lead the sales process from initial contact through to contract negotiation and closing.
- Digital Marketing Strategy & Consultation:
- Work closely with potential clients to understand their digital marketing needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with the internal marketing team to design tailored solutions, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, email marketing, PPC, and web development.
- Advise clients on digital marketing trends, helping them understand how different strategies can drive growth and ROI.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand the client's industry, competition, and digital marketing needs.
- Stay updated with emerging digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company's services remain competitive.
- Identify new opportunities for digital marketing services based on market shifts and customer feedback.
- Sales & Performance Reporting:
- Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs related to revenue, lead generation, and new business.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activity, meetings, and opportunities using CRM software.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales activities, opportunities, and outcomes.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and technical teams to ensure alignment of client expectations with deliverables.
- Assist in refining marketing materials and campaigns for prospecting and lead nurturing.
- Provide feedback to the product development team to improve digital marketing service offerings.
- Networking & Industry Events:
- Represent the company at digital marketing conferences, events, and webinars to build the company's brand and establish new business connections.
- Build relationships with industry influencers, potential partners, and stakeholders to create new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within digital marketing or advertising.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels such as SEO, PPC, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and web analytics.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and project management software.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in digital marketing agencies or working with digital marketing platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and analytics tools.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Knowledge of web development and design, or experience working with web development teams.
- Experience working with clients in specific industries (e.g., e-commerce, healthcare, finance) is a plus.
