Job Overview :
The Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and expand our customer base in international markets. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of global market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics within the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Market Research & Analysis :
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, emerging market trends, and competitors in target regions.
- Analyze customer needs and purchasing behaviors to inform business strategies and product development.
Lead Generation & Client Acquisition :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients, nurturing relationships to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
Sales Strategy & Execution :
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting key international markets.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to create customized presentations and proposals for prospective clients.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by proactively managing sales efforts across regions.
Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as a point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and prompt issue resolution.
Export and Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure all export transactions comply with international trade regulations and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to manage efficient, timely shipments and resolve any export-related issues.
Market Expansion & Strategic Partnerships :
- Identify potential distributors, retailers, and other strategic partners in target markets to strengthen our global footprint.
- Negotiate and establish partnership agreements to maximize brand reach and sales potential.
Reporting & Performance Analysis :
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities to inform senior management.
- Prepare regular performance reports and sales forecasts, offering insights for strategic decision-making.
Brand Promotion & Trade Shows :
- Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote our products and network with industry players.
- Work with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility and positioning through various promotional channels.
Key Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the manufacturing or export industry.
- Skills: Strong sales acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with international trade regulations, export processes, and global market dynamics.
- Language: Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Travel: Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings, trade shows, and business development activities.
