Manager - Business Development - Industrial Products (8-12 yrs)
Company History :
Muvtons is a 44 year old company, manufacturing industrial and other wheels and castors for material handling and logistics industry. The company is seeking an aggressive growth path over the next five years, that will entail adding new product lines, new markets etc. Currently the company sells both domestically as well as exports its products to around 25 countries worldwide including Europe, US, Scandinavia etc.. The company has been known worldwide for its high quality products, some of the products are high end, high performance products where the application demands are very stringent both functionally as well as dimensionally. Domestically the company has been selling products for over 25 years and customers in B2B - segments include automobile manufacturing companies like Suzuki, Honda Car, Honda Motorcycle, Hero Moto etc. and their Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, e-commerce companies like Amazon, Flipkart etc., warehouse robotics companies, general engineering industries, tyre manufacturing companies, textile industry etc.
Position :
- The candidate shall be responsible for Business Development, including CRM, of the company in North India. Since the company is embarking on an aggressive growth path, we are aiming at a CAGR of over 50% year on year. The candidate is to develop new customers in existing segments, as well as in other business segments where the company is not present currently.
- The business model is purely B2B and there are no channel partners. The company's products are the best in quality and also priced slightly higher than local competition, however the products are a pure "value proposition". Currently the business in this region stands at around 10.00 Cr. The candidate shall report to the Sales Head based at Noida HQ.
Desired Personal Traits of the Candidate :
1. Must be a Strategist and aligned with the Vision of the company to grow sales by 3x in the territory in next 3 years and 10x over next 5 to 6 years. Both top and bottom lines have to be respected.

3. Should be Dynamic and Self Motivated, Analytical mind set to 'discover' opportunities
4. Must have a Positive and affable Personality to win over potential customers.
5. Should be willing to travel 20 days in a month, majorly in NCR region but some customers / leads are also present in Rajasthan, UP, Uttarakhand, M.P. and Punjab
Desired Professional Skill Sets :
1. Keen learner with positive personality
2. Excellent Communication and presentation Skills and strong English conversational skills are required.
3. Should be able to do "Value Selling" to the top decision makers in corporate companies.
4. After proper training, must be able to take a consultative selling approach and explain the benefits of using the company's high quality products. The company does not manufacture commoditized type of low price products
5. Conversant at using big data analysis to grow sales
6. Should have experience in some kind of CRM application. The company uses Salesforce for its sales operations
7. Responsible for complete 'end to end' sales cycle
8. Ability to build and lead a team as sales grow
Education & Experience :
1. B. Tech/ BE in mechanical engineering is preferred. However, strong evidence of selling industrial products with good success shall weigh over a formal engineering degree.
2. Atleast 8 to 10 years of work experience in selling engineering products, industrial consumables and similar products is desired. Candidates selling capital equipment are not desired. This job mandates meeting and creating new customers every day. Business Development is the core of this position. CRM sales will need less than 25% of the candidate's resources.
3. At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, in a company selling industrial consumables or similar products.
