Manager - Business Development - Healthcare (4-6 yrs)
Business Development Manager (Individual Contributor Role)
Primary Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic alliances to achieve network expansion targets.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead network growth initiatives within the assigned region.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company's offerings, competitors, and client needs to maximize sales and revenue.
- Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads, and successfully close agreements.
- Analyze target markets, including industries, companies, projects, key contacts, and relevant strategies to attract clients.
- Formulate and implement strategies to achieve individual sales goals.
- Prepare proposals and contracts that balance profitability with client satisfaction.
- Identify and secure partnerships with dialysis centers in Class A & B hospitals.
- Manage objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and resolving differences positively.
- Identify, engage, and onboard nephrologists as partners; conduct negotiations.
- Collaborate with regional marketing teams for scheduled activities and participate in conferences.
- Work with government entities on project creation and execution.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Foster a culture of competitive intelligence and market awareness.
- Promote Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Home Hemodialysis (HHD).
- Generate leads for Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) and HHD by leveraging contacts in the nephrology ecosystem and the existing guest base in coordination with the operations team.
- Drive lead conversion by adding new guests and transitioning existing ones from other CAPD networks.
- Oversee the maturation of leads for CAPD and HHD, ensuring smooth handovers.
- Plan and organize promotional events for CAPD and HHD.
Job Specifications:
- Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Healthcare, Pharma, Consulting, or a related field.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong market knowledge and P&L understanding.
- Proven ability to connect, network, and influence key customers and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, including contract preparation and signing.
- Analytical mindset and self-driven approach.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
