Manager - Business Development - Franchise Development - Pharmacy (5-11 yrs)
Location: Patna (Bihar)
Reporting To: Regional Business Manager/Leadership
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented business development manager specializing in franchise development. The ideal candidate will drive franchise expansion, manage leads, and maximize conversions while identifying new franchise opportunities across targeted regions. This role demands a proactive mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a keen eye for market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Franchise lead management: Oversee the entire franchise lead process, ensuring efficient communication and high conversion rates.
- Network expansion: Identify and develop potential franchise networks using vendor partnerships and market mapping techniques.
- Market research & territory expansion: Conduct research to identify untapped markets and expansion opportunities.
- Healthcare network development: Collaborate with retail store operations to strengthen healthcare franchise support.
- Store operations support: Manage the launch and operations of new franchise stores, ensuring seamless coordination and performance tracking.
- Reporting & forecasting: Generate insights and reports to aid senior management in planning and decision-making.
- Industry representation: Attend expos, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the brand and explore partnership opportunities.
- Brand building: Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance the brand's reputation and market presence.
- MOU & franchise agreements: Achieve monthly and annual targets for franchise sign-ups and agreements.
- Location assessment & approval: Evaluate and approve locations for new stores based on market potential.
- Competitive analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitors.
- Franchise support: Provide end-to-end support to franchise partners, from pre-opening setup to post-opening operational guidance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in business development, franchise management, or related fields, preferably in the pharmaceutical or insurance industry.
- Sales & strategy expertise: Proven track record in driving franchise sales and business growth.
- Industry knowledge: Strong understanding of franchise operations, market expansion, and business development.
Skills:
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and market research abilities.
- Ability to foster professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Work Environment & Travel:
- The role involves frequent travel for meetings, site visits, expos, and market research.
- Flexibility in work hours may be required to accommodate client schedules across different regions.
