Manager - Business Development - FMCG (5-15 yrs)
Job Summary -
Drive business growth for Frozen Bakery & Ingredients Business in GCC(KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait) as per the ambition plan. The individual will be responsible for executing the bakery marketing and sales plan and co-owner of the Annual Operating Plan. Frequent travel and customer engagement with closures is crucial to ensure that customer and target expectations are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities :
- Grow the current Frozen Bakery & Ingredients secondary customer base with support of Inhouse or external distribution partners
- Assist in developing a Frozen Bakery Strategy for market leadership in GCC
- Develop and execute the AOP
- Grow the current market share with regard to volumes and revenue (improve margins and gross profit) by liaising with Sales, R&D, Operation and Marketing
- Explore portfolio extension within current customer base (Improve the scope and basket).
- Build strong relationships with key customers
- Manage and grow distributor relationships
- Identify new business opportunities
- Build, grow, manage and communicate knowledge base of current market conditions.
- Build, grow and communicate knowledge base of new markets and their potential.
- Build, grow and communicate the knowledge base of competitors (direct/indirect) to the business and its markets.
- Strategically plan and execute how to approach and convince potential new customers to use our solutions. Provide NPD Project Management Request to R&D.
- Respond to requests for technical advice for both internal and external customers
- Explain and demonstrate USP's and functional benefits of the product range to internal and external customers
- Manage and create marketing material for sales and ways of showcasing the solutions the business provides.
- Manage and create marketing material for key events and showcasing the solutions the business provide.
- Have a good understanding of cost in use from a customer perspective. Net effect on customer financial outcome.
- Good articulation of customer needs to sales and innovations
- Research global trends and activities within baking environment and share the info.
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's degree in Food/bakery, Hospitality or Marketing.
- Experience in Business Development, Front End Sales & Technical Sales within the HORECA & In Store Bakery channels.
- Preceding min 5 years- experience in business development for Frozen bakery products servicing KSA.
Competencies-
- Experience of B2B selling of Frozen Bakery Solutions in the Food Service Channel
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills and strong persuasive skills
- Strong Inter-personal relationship experience
- Knowledge of Bakery, Confectionery & Frozen Desserts
