Manager - Business Development - F&B (3-5 yrs)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to accelerate revenue generation in India and work closely with the senior leadership on driving strategic growth initiatives. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and develop sales & marketing strategies to expand market presence. The ideal candidate has a high degree of growth mindset with
a bias for action and a proven track record in business development, sales & marketing with excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth:
- Responsible for revenue planning, implementation to generate revenue streams across all key verticals of the business against clearly agreed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
Reporting & Performance Metrics:
- Monitor and analyze monthly performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business
development strategies.
- Create scenario plans and implement
- Prepare and deliver Dashboards/reports to senior management on progress, achievements, and challenges.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business.
- Key account management on a day-to-day basis.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and ensure team alignment with company goals.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitor activities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
Partnership Development:
- Identify and establish strategic accounts and alliances to enhance business growth.
- Manage partnerships and collaborations, ensuring mutual success.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Work with the senior leadership in developing and implementing comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
- Identify and build strategies to create new market opportunities in India/International, emerging trends, and potential revenue streams.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred) from a well recognized institution.
- 3-5 years of experience in business development in services business (Experience in F&B preferred).
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful client relationships.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, sales cycles, and negotiation strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
Proven experience in B2B sales for 3-5 years is essential. Experience in Food ingredients or business services i.e. consultancy, research, analytics preferred.
