Manager - Business Development - Construction (6-9 yrs)
Responsibilities :
- Identify and research potential clients, projects, and markets within the construction industry.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and government agencies.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted strategies and materials to support business development efforts.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favourable and align with company objectives.
- Coordinate with project managers and operations teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitors to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
- Track and report on business development activities, including sales forecasts, pipeline development, and performance metrics.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Professional certifications in sales or business development.
- Experience working with government contracts or public sector clients.
- Knowledge of construction project management software.
