Manager - Business Development - Commercial Business - Building Material (10-14 yrs)
Looking for a self-motivated and highly driven Business Development Manager - Commercial business with excellent interpersonal skills with a drive to make new relationships. The candidate has to have a good understanding of the construction industry.
Job role requirement:
Post graduate or graduate from Management or Engineering background with 8- 10 years of experience in B2B sales / business Development in Building material categories (Preferable) and handling commercial space clients - Offices, Fitout contractors, Hotels and other commercial spaces.
1) Strong sales and account management skills.
2) Ability to make formal and informal presentation to clients.
3) Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and handle uncertainty.
4) Ability to prioritise work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.
5) Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self- motivated.
6) Must be willing to travel across the country
What you will do:
1) The goal of a Business Development Manager is to generate a lead, qualify it through opportunity discovery, set a face-to-face appointment, submit proposal and follow through until the deal is closed as won.
2) Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities.
3) Increasing the revenue from existing customers while attracting new ones by way of client acquisition and penetration.
4) You will engage with the top-level executives of the developers/contractors in the industry to generate leads through product presentation/demos and effectively communicate the product's value proposition.
5) This position will have a direct impact on our success by providing qualifying prospects from lead status into the sales pipeline.
6) This role will handle all first contact with new clients and build relationships through marketing activity - events, campaigns, direct mail, email, etc.
7) Use of strong selling and influencing skills to set up qualified appointments.
8) Consistent use of sales approach and techniques based on product or service solutions.
9) Log, track and maintains customer contact and contact records.
10) Attend sales meetings, vendor training, local trade shows to keep current with technology.
11) Providing management with feedback.
