Manager - Business Development - Academia/Education Business (4-9 yrs)
Job Responsibilities:-
Develop plans and implement projects that achieve the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the organization's overall business strategy wrt SALES & Key Account Management.
Developing and establishing a region's sales processes, with a focus to reduce TAT and increasing portfolio penetration.
Coordinating with other sales professionals on the lines of driving sales pipeline from lead qualification to proposal management & eventually deal closing.
Oversee strategic account planning, business development, sales forecasting, marketing, pricing, training. Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs.
Create schedule and project timelines and track deliverables. Define tasks and required resources and collect required data
Coordinating with various cross-functional teams to create, sell, upsell and cross-sell effective customer pitches.
Have a research mindset. A large part of the work will require mindset will involve finding out about potential clients in advance. This will require spending the time to get information about the school or the person you are visiting or speaking/writing to.
CORE Responsibilities :
- Have already a trusted client base in school business.
- Research of educational clients in the desired domain.
- Meeting with key stakeholders of educational Institutions like Director/Admissions-Chairperson/Registrar/Principal of Schools, colleges, Private and Government Institutions and Universities to propose our bouquet of Educational Solutions for students and Institutions.
- Identifying new and potential sales leads, cold calls if necessary and set up meetings.
- Ensuring Relationship Management and Business Development activities with Universities and Educational Institutes.
- Preparing client presentation, Proposal, SLA etc
- Executing Software Solutions Sales in an efficient manner & getting the End to End Processes right
- Possessing Key Decision-Making Approach.
- Maintaining good relationship with the existing customers and relationships.
- Follow-up with prospective clients until close of sale and ensuring Sales closure.
- Prospect, educate, qualify and generate interest for sales opportunities.
- Contacting clients to inform them about new development in the company's products.
- Strategizing and Executing Business Planning.
- Responsible for achieving the sales and collection targets of assigned areas from existing customers within given budget.
- Identification of new customers and penetrate the market.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments with key customers.
- Develop detailed training proposals and plans to accelerate the adoption of CODE services.
- Maintain a strong relationship with customers to ensure flawless execution of training plans.
- Build and manage relationships with local training partners.
- Evangelize CODE Training & Certification at company and industry events.
- Maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management.
- Lead and develop a team of Sales Team.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :
- 5+ year's management, preferably in the Education/Academia industry.
- Experience conducting Training Needs Assessments and developing training plans.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience with engaging and presenting to senior executives (CXO level).
- Strong commercial experience and business acumen.
- Experience leading a team of sales and marketing professionals.
- Creative personality
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events.
- The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Self Motivated
- Presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broad audiences.
- Open for extensive travel.
- Demonstrated event management qualities for schools, college fests, conferences, etc.
- Experience and ability in operating within a fast-paced, multi-disciplined virtual team.
