Manager - Business Development (7-15 yrs)
Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager located in Bangalore. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, preparing business proposals, and negotiating contracts. Additionally, the role involves market research, strategic planning, and collaborating with other departments to align business development activities with overall company goals. The candidate should be able to drive revenue growth and contribute to the company's profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive growth and achieve company objectives.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and optimize business strategies.
- Set and track sales targets and KPIs, adjusting strategies to meet or exceed these goals.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, lead generation, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Develop tailored proposals and presentations to address client needs, demonstrating value and solutions.
- Negotiate and close deals with clients while ensuring profitability and long-term business relationships.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research to understand market demands, competitor offerings, and customer pain points.
- Provide insights and recommendations for new services, products, or markets based on research findings.
- Monitor and analyze competitors' activities to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to align business development efforts with overall company strategy and goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design custom solutions and deliver proposals that meet client needs.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless implementation and delivery of services to clients.
Sales & Proposal Development:
- Lead the creation of business proposals and presentations for potential clients, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
- Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring both client and company interests are protected.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects, tracking and reporting on lead status, opportunities, and outcomes.
Revenue Generation & Profitability:
- Develop and implement strategies for upselling and cross-selling existing clients to maximize revenue.
- Monitor financial performance, ensuring that business development activities align with company profitability goals.
- Forecast and track sales performance, making adjustments to strategies as needed.
Reporting & Performance Metrics:
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding business development activities, pipeline status, and key achievements.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM software for tracking leads, contacts, deals, and sales activity.
- Analyze performance metrics and suggest ways to optimize business development processes.
