Manager/Area Sales Manager - Media (6-10 yrs)
We are looking for an ASM or a Manager who can contribute to the growth of our business via print and digital mediums initially, before we explore other avenues for revenue. We believe in internal promotions and the chosen candidate will be given an opportunity to grow with the organization, and thereafter lead a team to work on strategies for business development. The candidate must be revenue driven and target oriented. Verve is a bi monthly and IQ a quarterly. Details of our requirements are mentioned below.
Job Description for an ASM/ Manager at Verve and IQ
1. The candidate should already have existing relationships with some clients and agencies and possess good PR skills to maintain relationships with all clients and develop new ones
2. Sales meetings need to be via fixed and cold calling as required, with the endeavor to service existing clients, increase business and develop new accounts. The candidate should be able to identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and offering them options for both digital and publishing advertising. Should be able to sell solutions to the clients.
3. The candidate should have the adequate PR and communication skills to not only maintain relationships with clients and agencies and be the face for the brand in the market, but also liaise internally with different departments like print editorial, digital editorial, marketing and events, to ensure customized solutions, as required are presented to the client.
4. Should be prompt with responses to clients and agencies with appropriate and adequate information/ emails/ feedback and similar.
5. The candidate must maintain an updated database of clients along with being meticulous with paper work/ proposals sent etc. We believe in internal promotions and hence, the candidate should also be a team player, contributing not just to their individual target but also the company target and goal
6. Should be able to prepare reports by analyzing data and summarizing information and provide adequate feedback to management as well as important market information
7. Follow up on outstandings, if any, though the endeavor should be in ensuring that clients make timely payments
8. Target oriented
Qualifications
1. Graduate in any faculty, MBA will be an added advantage
2. Excellent PR and communication skills
3. Proven experience in a sales role
4. Excellent knowledge of Digital and social media
Experience
5. 6-10 years of experience in Media Sales
6. Digital sales experience is a must
7. Added advantage if they have worked on events and brand associations
