Manager - App Merchandising/Content Marketing - FMCG (8-12 yrs)
Role & Responsibilities
Understand:
Understand customer (shopkeeper) needs and decision-making criteria with respect to grocery category
Understand Merchandising Setup of a design - tech - business needs
Plan and Execute:
- Think, Discuss & Plan Marketing Strategy (Traffic Driving, New Customer Recruitment, Customer Engagement, Retention, Increase wallet share) with business teams
- Complete Ownership of End-to-End Campaign Performance, Analysis, Reporting and Driving improement
- Create and own merchandising strategy - using briefs from business teams; planning of assets to deployment using team of executives.
- Create and execute weekly, monthly, quarterly plans
- Translate above plans into detailed and actionable activity charts with clearly defined owners and checkpoints
- Timely follow up with all stakeholders to ensure on time high quality delivery (Merch Team, Business Team, Design Team)
- Own quality of on app assets: 100% adherence to highest standards of on app assets. 100% Customer 1st mindset
New Assets: Be on the lookout for newer asset types that we can have on the app
Festive Stores: Plan a quarter in advance special festive stores
Category Melas: Plan a month in advance category special stores
Corrective Actions: If assets aren't performing to the levels needed - please take corrective action immediately and change assets, SKUs , pricing etc
Track and report:
- Track campaign performance daily and work to improve ROI with every single campaign
- Across all channels (On App Assets - banners etc, PN, SMS, Whatsapp, Pamphlets + Lucky Contest, coins, Quiz, Credit, Surveys, Etc,.)
- Create Dashboards: With help of data science team make dashboards that would help to surface performance of merch activities
Team Lead:
Ensure work done through a team of 4-6 TL + execs.
Fix:
- Look for ways we can improve tech in relations to the usage of merch ingestion software to make the system faster, more intuitive and less human dependent

- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Ability to drive insights from data
- Interest and understanding of Retail in India within Grocery stores in FMCG and staples industry
