Loylogic - Merchant Relationship Manager (5-10 yrs)
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our growing Ecommerce Catalog Team, a passionate individual dedicated to bringing local market needs to our global platform. This person will own & manage the merchant relationships within new regions where we want to grow our business. Young relationships to new partners must be strengthened in order to deliver a variety categories, brands and product lines.
The ideal candidate will bring a passion for negotiating and developing relationships with key brands, merchants and incentive houses across multiple product categories and a proven track record of growing catalogs.
What you will do
- Execute strategic product selection plans which will drive sales and profit across consumer transactions
- Manage product negotiations, and follow up on pricing negotiations periodically
- Sell Ancillary revenue such as advertisements etc.
- Manage trading terms & supplier contributions to optimize profit
- Communicating the local ranges internally to the marketing team in order to maximize the potential turnover when the product is launched on the site
- Work with ecommerce team to create and set up promotional campaigns
- Analyze & interpret data which measures product performance & take agreed action to ensure maximization of sales and profit
- Review sales & margin performance vs targets, and formulate action plans on any under performances & agree revised plans for rationalization or range fill
- Initiate & maintain merchant review method for lead merchants to identify best partnerships, pricing, selection & opportunity for growth
- Resolve merchant issues related to payments, set-up, SLAs, platform technology etc.
- Developing a regional expertise on sales, catalog, pricing and merchant landscape
What you will need
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant Sourcing/Buying/Marketplace experience
- Wide category experience specially Digital Products, Electronics, Home & Garden, Luggage, Sports, Fashion Accessories etc.
- Highly commercial mindset
- Experience in working with brands, distributors and incentive houses
- Maintaining strategic relationships with the supply base
- Ability to influence and work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in an ecommerce environment
