Business Head - House to Home (Automation/Interiors)
Business Development Head will be responsible for lead and revenue generation for the company through channel development. This a national level role which involves building channels and resources in each city to generate leads and achieve revenue targets. The role involves market planning, hiring, training, resource allocation decisions, business development, operations management, coordination with central functions, and various other activities on a daily basis to claim the highest market share in their market and grow exponentially.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Target Orientation: You will be responsible for achieving city wise lead and revenue targets for the company.
- Resource Optimization: A critical aspect of resource allocation in terms of budget, time and manpower will be crucial. Managing the goals within the constraints will be important. As part of the statement and sales report analysis, you will be responsible for finding ways to cut costs and improve financial performance. This may be through finding a more efficient system or looking at policies to find ways to cut back on expenditure.
- Analytical Skills: You would be required to analyse data to proactively predict the trend and take appropriate course correction accordingly.
- Decision-Making Skills: The buck stops with you. Whether it is dealing with employees, customers, top executives or vendors, you will have to make decisions that affect the company. Having the ability to make hard and fast decisions is crucial to your success.
- Negotiation Skills: Communication is the key. This role requires negotiations with contractors, in front of a group of employees, or in a meeting with other management. You might be called upon to write reports and recommendations. Great verbal communications and writing skills will help you in any of these scenarios.
- Build Relationships with Clients: You will build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to encourage good business relations and networking for future contract opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
- 6 - 10 years overall experience with 4+ years experience as City / Regional / Central head positions with MNCs or unicorn start-ups (Paytm / Swiggy / Oyo etc.)
- 3+ years of hard-core sales experience where you should have managed teams
- Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking
- Creative solutions driven mind-set, with a go getter attitude!
